District’s Educational Planner Master Plan
Community Engagement

In 2009, Groveport Madison School District asked WARNER Concepts, LLC. to act as their Educational Planner. Since the inception of this relationship, a Master Facility Plan has been developed using a community engagement process designed and facilitated by WARNER Concepts, LLC. The study began with the compilation of demographic, facility, enrollment, programs and services, and strategic initiatives. The information gathered by the district as well as WARNER Concepts, LLC. was analyzed to determine what factors are and will effect student enrollment, housing, and growth within the district. A facility utilization/capacity study was completed along with a through study of the existing and available land.

A Planning Committee was formed to facility the community engagement process. The community was asked to give input regarding educational concepts, current and future student needs, and to choose their preferred facility option. The result was a master plan approved by the community and embraced by the Board.

The Board approved moving forward with a bond campaign to secure funding for the master plan. WARNER Concepts, LLC. is facilitating the bond campaign effort. Once the bond is passed, a community-based planning team will developed District-wide and Site-Specific Educational Specifications providing a written description of how the new school facilities are to be designed and constructed. This critical document will then be transferred to the design team to guide the design work.
